Terms of Service – Tennis Friends

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Tennis Friends (the "Service"), including the web app at tennisfriends.app or the SMS feature at +1 251-572-9890, you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Barrier, LLC. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Tennis Friends is a social coordination tool for tennis players. It lets you share your weekly availability with a group of friends, see when others are free, and find times to play together. You can interact with the Service by:

Texting your availability to +1 251-572-9890 in natural language
Signing in to the web app at tennisfriends.app with Google
Creating or joining groups and managing availability grids

3. SMS Messaging Terms

By texting +1 251-572-9890, you agree to the following:

Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
You consent to receive automated SMS messages from Tennis Friends related to your availability and scheduling.
To opt out, reply STOP at any time. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages.
To re-subscribe, reply START.
For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@tennisfriends.app.
Carrier coverage: SMS is available on all major US carriers but we cannot guarantee delivery on all networks.

4. Account and Access

Web app access requires signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. SMS access is tied to your phone number. If you lose access to your phone number, contact us to update your account.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Spam, harass, or send abusive messages through the Service
Attempt to access other users' data or accounts without permission
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the Service or its infrastructure
Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

We reserve the right to terminate access for violations of these rules.

6. Intellectual Property

The Tennis Friends name, logo, and all content on the Service are owned by or licensed to Barrier, LLC. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (like your availability messages). By submitting content, you grant Barrier, LLC a limited license to use it solely to operate the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that SMS messages will always be delivered. Use the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barrier, LLC and its members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including missed games, scheduling errors, or undelivered messages. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed $100.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason, with or without notice. You can stop using the Service at any time — reply STOP to opt out of SMS, or contact us to delete your account.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alabama.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
